Ed Snowden, still holing up in the Transit hotel at Moscow airport. Snowdenはアメリカにpassportを失効され、動きようがなく、未だロシア空港のtransit客用のホテルにいるらしい。受け入れを表明したEcuadorの大統領も大使館までくれば、どうにかしたいというが、passportを失効されたSnowdenはロシアに入国もできず、空港を出て、ロシアにあるエクアドル大使館まで行けない。本当はロシアのPutinはどうにかできるのだが、さすが元KGB大佐出身、Syria、Iran問題でことごとくアメリカと反対行動を取り続けてきている彼らしく、アメリカを困らしている。そこに昨日はWiKileaks 創設者AssangeはEd SnowdenのNSA情報から、アメリカはEU本部も盗聴していると暴露、EU側はさっそくアメリカに説明を要求している。こうした機密情報を流し続けることでアメリカを窮地に追い込むことがロシアの目的か？　

Paula Deen スキャンダル: アメリカでregular番組を持ち、いろいろな企業でその名前を使われていた有名な料理家、（イチロ－、石川遼-speed learningのように）Cooking queen, Paula DeenがN-wordを従業員に言ったとかで、従業員に告訴され、そこから発展して、企業は次々、Paulaと縁を切りだした。アメリカではN-wordは絶対禁句なのだ。しかし熱烈なフアンはいるようで彼女の経営するrestaurantは行列ができるほどだ。Third railは有名人の命取り。最もordinary peopleはN-wordを使っているが。そういえば石川遼のspeed learningアメリカで宣伝すれば必ず裁判沙汰だ。聞き流すだけで、「英語がある日突然聞こえ話せるようになる」ことはないからだ。例えば、Yahooで「Fox News, radio」と入れてみよう。流れる英語３ヶ月聞いてみよう！突然聞こえますか？　

Egypt 情勢再び不安定、イスラム同胞団のMohammed Morsi 大統領の辞任を求めるデモが各地で起きているのだ。彼の推し進めるイスラム化に反対しているのだ。Syria、Lebanon, Egyptと中東の混乱は収まりそうでない。国務長官Kerryが推し進めているIsraelとPalestine の和平工作 ,今度はうまく行くかな？いままで何回繰り返された和平工作だったことだろう。

 文法

前置詞にたいする学習者の認識が弱い、特に前置詞で二重前置詞は間違いと捉えるひとも多い、また前置詞句が補語になることを知らない人も多いので、掲載する。前置詞句は形容詞、副詞の働きもするのだ。

前置詞

１：単純前置詞　　

at, in, on, of ,for, from etc

２：複合前置詞  

between, beside, within, without, into, upon, across, etc

３：分詞状前置詞　

concerning, respecting, regarding, notwithstanding(にもかかわらず)

considering( の割には), excepting, saving(除いて), during

４：２重前置詞　　

　注：前置詞が2個重なるのを間違いと捉える人がいるが、そうではない

from under (の下から) from behind, from among(の中から)

 till after の後まで、since before 前からup to まで　in between ~の中間に

５：句前置詞

 in front of, instead of, because of, in spite of, by means of , on behalf of,

  thanks to のおかげで　

前置詞の働き

１：形容詞になる場合

 a: 名詞の直後に置かれてその名詞を修飾する（限定用法）

 The book on the desk is a novel by Soseki.

     The key to good health is to eat and sleep regularly. 

 b: 動詞の補語として（叙述用法）

 The factory across the river is on fire. 　　　　主格補語

  of importance 　【1】重要な ＝形容詞

２：副詞句になる場合

 a: 動詞を修飾する。前置詞句はこの場合が最も多い

 She goes to school by bus.

          She cut some bamboos with a knife.

    b: 形容詞を修飾する

 I am short of cash.

          She is good at mathematics.

 

３：他の副詞を修飾する

 The teacher treats him differently from the other pupils.

         I considered his plan apart from my self-interest.　私は私欲を離れて

 

４：文全体を修飾する

  Between ourselves, I played truant from school yesterday.
